So I was feeling so great about my requirements...and then i realized...i need to do 9 more pas with the sensor!!! ah!!! i dispise that sensor! its way too huge and hurts and i can never get a good xray with it. i'm sad. i dont know who i'm gonna do those films on...grr...

Another Day

Today went well. IB 4 digital x-rays and a finished patient. He was very nice and patient and interested in what everything meant. He is pre-med so it was fun to explain things to him in more technical jargon. It was nice to finish everything today because all I need now is extra quads since I've finished all my class II and III.

Finished Class III

I finished my class III. Not much in the way of news today though. I just feel good that I got it finished and all I have to do now is focus on getting enough patients to finish up my IB requirements.

I love days like this!

My patient wasn't going to be able to come in til 9 today so I figured I'd do some PEs. I got my instrument sharpening and intraoral camera done before. Then I finished her. She was a class V/IB. She is a really really fun lady and she rescheduled for next semester. Then Staci had a kid she shared sealants with me. So I did my sealant PE too! What a good day. I love days like this because you feel like you got everything done and it all went well.

Today was great. My patient that I was gonna have canceled yesterday so I called up my class III and asked her if she wanted to come in. She wants to get done ASAP so she was delighted to come in. I got 2 quads done and finished my PSR PE and my class II/III ultrasonic PE. I was really nervous to scale her one tooth with compressable mobility. Inst. Hafen said that ultrasonicing it was sufficient because handscaling isn't gonna help any bone grow back and the risk/benefit was too high. So luckily I didn't have to spend too much time on it. My patient was really good but was very discouraged when she saw all the gauze. I hoped she wasn't going to blame me and I explained why her gums were reacting. She seemed ok with it and Shaylee said she really liked being my patient which made me feel really good! :)

III

I got a class III patient today! yay!! I am glad I got one today so I'll still have time to finish her up this semester. I still need all my sealants and 8 quads of a IB but those should be easier to find than a class III. It is definitely gonna be hard and a good learning experience. She has sup. and mobility and a severe gag reflex. I'm just way glad I finally found one!

Easy Day

Today I just finished up my class V patient. It was really easy. My second pt for the day forgot about her apt so I had about an hour to do nothing...well I did my peer calculus review PE. I feel like I'm doing ok. Some days are much better than others. And some mouths are easier to see than others. But today I'm feelin pretty good about it!
(other than the country music that's playing...gosh...I got sick of that stuff fast!)
